Champion of Scholarship:
The purpose of the scholarship is to assist in providing assistance towards Brehm School tuition to a local student who is in need of services but could not afford to go without assistance. Applicants for this scholarship should be from the Southern Illinois area.
Timeline and Duration:
The scholarship is awarded annually and applications will be accepted early spring and will remain open until filled.
Terms and Conditions:
The Myranda Child and Family Scholarship is a need-based scholarship.
This scholarship is need-based and has specific criteria as is it relates to eligibility, therefore, qualified candidates will be identified by the collaborative efforts of the Tuition Assistance and Scholarship Committee. Applicants for tuition assistance and need-based scholarships are directed to fill out the FAST (Financial Aid and School Tuition) as part of the process. Students who meet the criteria for tuition assistance, but also who meet the stated criteria for the Myranda Child & Family Scholarship will be considered as eligible for both. The committees will compile, using the criteria, the names of the students, along with a short synopsis of the student’s experiences and personal situation, as indicated by the FAST. The eligible names will be brought forward to the Scholarship Committee, in order to determine the best recipient.
